Nigeria University for the Third Age (NU3A) empowers retired and semi-retired adults through lifelong learning, knowledge sharing, and social connection. We create a welcoming community where older adults stay intellectually active, build friendships, and continue to grow, contribute, and enjoy life.

Nigeria University For the Third Age (NU3A) is a
peer-led university dedicated to empowering older
adults through education, research, and
community service.
NU3A presents a tremendous opportunity for
individuals to continue learning, growing, and
contributing to society by providing a platform for
retirees to engage in lifelong learning, explore new
interests, and contribute to society. Inspired by the
Harvard University model, our initiative aims to provide lifelong learning opportunities for retired
professionals, fostering a vibrant community that
promotes intellectual growth, social engagement,
and contribution to society.
As we reflect on the map of life and longevity, it is
clear that the traditional model of education, work,
and retirement needs some adjustments. With
people living longer and healthier lives, we have
been gifted an extra 30 to 40 years of life.
